Best bang for your buck tacos! Line can be long but it moves fast. Very tasty, must try.

The food was authentic and very good! Fred and his sister was so sweet and made us feel as if we were at their house! I will definitely return when in Houston!

Tacos are good, service is ok. I've noticed the many times I've gone that the ladies who assemble the tacos prefer to speak to men more then women customers, I don't know why, older but every time I've gone usually a male customer is in front of me, and before they ordered they are greeted and asked what they want. When a female customer orders they are short and rude with them including myself. I've tried many times to say good morning first before I ordered and it was always meet with a blank or mean stare and then just with a response of " what do you want?" But in Spanish. Like I mentioned before I like the tacos, but dealing with rude women I try to ignore it but I'd rather not deal with it. The cashier I assume is the manager or he seems he's in charge has always been very nice and even jokes with regular customers and staff.

Menudo Update - if you like menudo, block out your next weekend (weekends only) and come get some! This is now my new favorite place for this elixir of immortality, not only because it is delicious, served with all the right garnish, but that it comes in a Chinese bowl. Not sure if the owners know how poignant this is, but that symbolizes the salad bowl that is Houston. Not a melting pot where ingredients lose their identity but a salad bowl where each thing stands on its own but adds to each other. Of course we also had to gorge ourselves on our other favorites, the nopales taco and barbacoa. Man I love this place!

I had time on my hands Saturday after dropping my son off for coding camp. Glad I finally dropped on after years of wanting to. We were there at about 915am and the line was out of the building long. Took less than 30 minutes to reach the front. Worth it. The food is absolutely delicious. Fresh made tortillas? Yes!!! So the woman behind the steam table asked if I wanted beans on my taco. I said no, but she started making one before she realized it, caught herself, set it aside and I said go ahead and give it to me. I should have had them all that way. The frijoles were a nice binder for the taco, delicious in itself (clearly made with lard as the best frijoles typically are) and wonderful with the filling, especially the chicharrones, where it balanced some of the heat. They have one of the biggest selections of aguas fresca that I have encountered lately. Also had the menudo, which was also great, particularly during this cool weather morning. Most folks got their food to go as seating inside is sparse, but we managed to snag a spot anyway and having the food freshly made seemed ideal. Would definitely go back.

I had been away too long but I love how this place never changes. My friend at the register, the ladies on the floor and on the line never change, unlike the exterior paint colors (iykyk). But the breakfast tacos here are just beyond. The homemade flour tortillas are always the perfect thickness and density and have a flavor that only mi madre and abuelitas could make . I stick to my faves - barbacoa which is plentiful in the taco with very little fat and none of the "chunks" of fat you can get in barbacoa at other places. Potatoes and egg - so good. My ability to taste took a hard hit from covid but my taco place here was worth standing in that line before and still is.

Simple. Low cost. Tasty. Fast service. Consistent. Laredo Taqueria is one of those places you can not visit for many years, and when you return it's exactly the same. I personally love it for their breakfast taco options, one of the next locations in Houston!
